International Applicants

Steps of Registration Process to be completed.

  • Candidate must provide to the Admission Officer a written letter of request to register with the NSCC, including the date upon which registration is to commence.
  • Candidate must have completed and passed all components of CCEB exams prior to application for registration. Applicants must have graduated from a Chiropractic Program accredited by the Council on Chiropractic Education Canada (CCEC), or accredited by an accrediting body that is recognized by the CCEC, or from one that has been approved by a Canadian Provincial Chiropractic Regulatory Board 
  • Completion of International Background check CSI Criminal Records Check USA/INTERNATIONAL
  • Proof of age (applicant must be 21 years or older by date of registration), and proof of legal entitlement to work in Canada
  • NSCC Online Application Form – fully completed and notarized. NSCC must receive the original copy.
  • Proof of current First Aid Certification (certification card) - Minimum level of Emergency First Aid / CPR C/ AED is required
  • Two (2) suitable recent color photographs – passport-style.
  • Verification letter of good standing from the licensing board from any other jurisdiction in which chiropractic registration/licensure has been held. This must be sent to NSCC directly from each of the respective licensing board(s).
  • Payment of a one-time Application fee of $150.00 to the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors  
  • Registrants must pass the NSCC Jurisprudence Exam.
    • Examination Fees:
    • The regular sitting, the fee is $150.00 in Canadian funds to be provided to the Nova Scotia College of Chiropractors payable by credit card . A $300 fee will apply for any examination administered outside of the 2 scheduled regular sittings.)
    • For registrants relocating to NS and have been licensed in another Canadian jurisdiction - no exam fee will apply
